Google Display & Video 360(DV3) is a key product under the Google Marketing Platform product suite. It enables marketers to manage their Ad campaigns across display, video, TV, audio, and other channels, all in one place. It is organized around 5 integrated modules that work together: Campaigns, Audiences, Creatives, Inventory, and Insights.


I led a 5 ppl UX team(4 designers + 1 researcher), collaborated with PM & Eng to envision a product strategy and drove this vision to launch. We launched a complete redesign of the current product, brought in a new group of users into the platform, and made Creative module profitable for the first time. We also filed patents for the new and innovative UI.

My main responsibilities include:

  • Lead background research and multiple vision Design Sprints to envision product strategy with x-functional teams.

  • Plan product roadmap, prioritize features and allocate projects within the design team.

  • Design, iterate, provide feedback to design team, and support product launch.

  • Support Marketing team with customers engagement and publicity materials.

  • Hiring and grow the design team.

I created the entire project from scratch by leading multiple Design Sprints where the team reviewed previous research, technical capabilities and came up with design vision for a collaborative workspace for Creative users.

Starting of the project

The 3 Design Sprint I led all won Google’s internal Sprint rewards because their high impact and innovation! I then presented the vision to the VP of Product, got support and resources to move the project forward.

Below is the newly redesigned homepage for Creative module, which allows ad creators to view and manage their ads and get performance data. 

Ad canvas

We launched a WYSIWYG ad creation tool called Ad Canvas that allows ad creators to manage visual content and make their ad adapt to different target groups and surfaces by creating dynamic rules – this is the biggest hit of all the features and gained a lot of customer attraction.
